HOT TIP Remove Nasty Carpet Stains

My mouth was watering for the Pizza Hut Hot Wings I picked up for dinner. I opened the door and pranced into the bedroom to tell my husband I brought our favorite when I felt sometthing dipping on my sandal. I looked down and red, hot wing sauce was leaking from the plastic bag. There was a trail of sauce from the front door to the bedroom around 15 long. The sauce looked like thick drops of blood.

I was shocked. I literally let out a high pitch scream.along with a few choice words. The trail of sauce looked like someone had been seriously hurt. I was beside myself. David darted from the bedroom. He literally thought I had hurt myself. The trail of red and the scream startled him to say the least. He literally thought I was going to need the ER for a serious injury.

My scream could have been detrimental to ones health. I could have been a bit more self contained. OK I am human a work in progress. Anyone that would have heard my scream and or seen the trail would most likely call 911. After my husband recovered he said, 'this will not be to hard to clean, don't sweat it babe you can get this tomorrow. I was livid but remained calm and quiet. I stood and gazed. David tiptoed to the chicken wings and took them into the bedroom to eat.

Oh how I can sweat the small stuff. It iwas carpet not the end of the world. I chilled out. I was so tired. I could not deal with the mess so I did not. I apologiged to David, ate a few wings and stumbled into bed. I slept like a baby. Upon waking there it was.The trail of dried sauce stared me down. David was off to work and the cleaning fairy had not come to surprise me. The trail looked bad but there was hope.

It is amazing how when one is tired a certain event can seem very overwhelming. It is not near the big deal it seemed to be after one is rested and refreshed. Similar to a small baby that is tired, fussy, grumpy and resistant. After nap time they are refresed and ready to go.

I pulled my file box of home remedies out of the cupboard. The file box belonged to my mom at one time. I recall her cleaning blood off of the carpet from a skinned knees. I searched the index cards. I found a card. Clean Red Wne, Red sauces, Kool Aid, Lipstick. Blood, Grease, Make-Up. Marker, Tomatoe Soup. I had to chuckle. I could feel my mom laughing with me. I knew God was smiling down on me. He sends those "God Winks" in the perfect time. He is amazing. My mom cleaned up allot of tomatoe soup in her day as well. After all she had four little girls to clean up after. Today she is with the Heavely Father and I inhereted her Hot tips. Oh how precious she was to save all of these clever tips. We had more tomato soup and grilled cheese then Carter has pills.

If you find yourself facing an ugly red carpet stain try this home remedy. I suggest you try it on a piece of hidden carpet. I did not which was probably not to smart. I am thankful my lovely tan carpets did not fade. If and when I get another home I will not have tan carpets if I can possibly help it. Tan shows every minuscule of dirt and grime. Moving on. Open a window.

Pour into a large pan or bucket 1 cup Vinegar and 2 cups of Hot Water. Add One Tablespoon of Salt and stir.

I sat on my bum and moved along side the trail of barbecue sauce stain scrubbing gently using the solution and sponge. The stain seemed to dissipate into the air. Then I sprinkled baking soda on the trail. I let it sit until dry around 30 minutes. I vacuumed. I was so grateful, the stain was about 95% gone. I knew when I repeated this process on another day the solution would pick up the remainder of the stain. Moms are so special. If your mother still lives be sure and tell her you love and appreciate her. We never know when the tide may turn.

You have a wonderful day. Bless and be Blessed. Love and be Loved. Spread cheer receive Cheer, Judge not lest you be Judged, Forgive and be Forgiven. Do not beat yourself up If you fall down, pick up and move forward. Do not take yourself so serious. (kinda like me, JK)

God winks at us much of the time. We just have to keep our eyes open. He is the good news in any situation. He can, when we cant. He will direct our path in the small stuff as well as the big stuff. He is everywhere. I think God must chuckle at how serous this child of His can get.

I thank God for His wonders, moms and His special God Winks.

That cleaning combination sounds unique - and will have to remember it. Your 'turned out ok' hub was delightful to read, and we got the cleaner thrown in too. Thanks!
