Happy hubbing

Several days ago while scrolling the feed at hubpages there was an accolade that said, ‘skye2day’ has four years at the hubs. I was pleasantly surprised to see that hub affiliates recognize their writers. I had no idea I was into four years at the hubs. It seems like yesterday I jumped on board.

I marvel at how God has molded and shaped me on these pages. It has not been an easy journey. Gratifying and rewarding, yes. Worth every edit, headache, and toil. I think writers at least this one go through times of writer’s block, trials, tribulations, not being good enough, then some. I think some might go through I’m way good enough syndromes. JK, not. Writing is definitely a journey into the soul. It has been enlightening, engaging and humbling.

In these four years at hubpages I have grown more in love with Jesus then my mind could have imagined. He is the great IAM. When sharing our testimony no one can go argue against it. Well they can and do but really, it avails little because it is our story. No one else has your story; perhaps many similarities but we each have a story. A testimony that could touch a heart just where it may need touching. There is no joy greater that giving to another.

There are many at the hubs that give freely of themselves to help another. Do not think what you share is not of value to another. Someone may desperately need to hear what you have to say. So if you have a desire on your heart to share a skill or a recipe, a story or a dream, do not be shy. Be bold in knowing that you do matter. An awesome God loves you. He wants to use you to touch others If you are at a standstill in your writing it does happen keep going, keep persevering. You will get through it just do not give up.

There are a host of superb writers, poets, novelist, and entrepreneurs, on these pages from all over the world. I cannot begin to name all that are dear to me and have touched my heart with the love of God. There are many. God has put each person on the path for a reason and a season. It all fits into His grand scheme and design.

Looking at the accolade, I thought of my mortality. God is the breath of life. He is the author and finisher of life. Time moves all so quickly. As much as I would like to think, I have much youth and vitality in me there are days, I do wonder. Let’s face it the old tent we live in does age. Moving around is not as easy as it was one day, not too long ago. Of course, we can fix up our tent with Band-Aids but how long does that last? If one side is fixed soon the other side will need specific attention. It is by the grace of God and His unending mercy our olé tents even stand. In prayer, faith, gladness and joy we can keep on in Christ Jesus knowing He is our source.

I have been blessed with beauty secrets at the hubs, with awesome vacation spots. With great stories that put a smile on my heart or pep in my step. I have read poems that have literally been life changing. I have recipes that have touched the tummies of many. I have been given pointers, tips, tricks, and ideas that have affected my life or that of others. The world really does go around in these neighborhoods at the hubs. I have been given nuggets of knowledge, wisdom, insight, affirmation, kudos, and friendship. No one can take them away. I thank God for a host of brothers, sisters, and friends at the hubs. I have been blessed beyond imagination. God is so good. He is everywhere in everything. Gods works though others. When I felt like giving in or like a worm in the dirt, I could go and read a story or write one and God used the words to answer a prayer.

Yep the olé body ages. Some bodies more gracefully than others do. No matter the good genes or the healthy lifestyle we may have lived, we do age. Many times our lifestyle has made us to age more quickly than our time. The wages of sin, take a toll on the body. It is wise to take heed to the parent, peers, and authorities. Their wisdom has come through experience and it could spare many from allot of heartache and or death. If you need wisdom you can find it in many hearts at the hubs.

We humans can be so prideful. We do not need to learn the behavior. I could be having a really bad day and go read a hub that made my day look like a walk in the park with cotton candy. Talk about humble pie. We can try all we like with behavior modification to change but change is an inside job from God. He is the heart changer and whole filler. We are all searching. For me the searching stopped when I asked Jesus into my heart and repented of sin. God is the soul saver. The enemy Satan wants to steal our souls. What good is it to gain the world but loose your soul?

If you do not know Jesus you can easily find Him on these hubpages. One never knows it could be the last thing you may want to read but surprise God found you on these pages. Maybe that was no mistake. When we repent and accept Jesus a process of redeeming takes place. It is similar to the worm that transforms into a beautiful butterfly. At first, it is not so pretty but in time out comes a masterpiece. God created us and we are His masterpieces. Even after what many of us have done to our bodies and minds, God is amazing grace, merciful, and good. ‘God can turn all things for the good for those that love Him.’ (Luke 1:37)

Looking at the accolade, I thought of all humanity. One minute could be just fine and the next moment one event could change a life or lives forever. No matter if, it is good news something like winning the lotto to frightening news like getting a report, there is no cure for your illness or your husband comes home from work and lost his job after 30 years. How easily we can take life for granite.

God is our only assurance, He does not change. After 9-11, the church was full to the brim for weeks. People were repenting and coming to Jesus. People wanted answers they were seeking God. It was only weeks and the church attendance went back to what it was. How fast we can forget who is the author and finisher of our life.(Hebrews 12:2)

This brought to me my time at the hubs four years ago. I recall when I landed here. I knew it was an open window to write and no doubt a gift from God. I really needed this hope. Hubpages was an answer to get back into my passion to write and for my financial cares as well. It has not worked the way I intended. but far better. God showed me HE is the way.(John 14:6) It was not Goggle or Hubpages or the husbands paycheck or the government I needed to depend on, but Him. It was not I who needed serving, I was self-serving. It was God I longed to serve all along. He filled my heart with a longing that was always there. It got lost in the shuffle of the world. I fell right in hook, line and sinker. For the grace of God, I am here to tell about it. Not that I am all good but that HE is all good. He loved me first is the only reason I too can love. (1 John 4:9)When I understood God was my source after a couple of years my writing took on a new life and meaning.

God was my provision. No matter what came down the pike and allot did, God never ever failed to keep His promise. He supplies all my needs according to His riches and Glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19) I had many falls and heartaches and questions but God always came in to pick me up. Sometimes it seems it was last minute but God always showed up on time. He never left. I was now about Gods business. God opened the window to what I put on the shelf years ago. Not by Him but though my lifestyle, I lost the time to write while having a good olé time. Decades later, I was here at the hubs. Grateful for the opportunity I was elated and so grateful to God. Sometimes you just know that you know and something is ordained to be. I was about winning souls. God wants none of us to perish, no not one.(2 Peter 3:9)

It is amazing to think I have friends from around the world. Many have come; many have stayed all these years to remain faithful readers and friends. Many have gone, some to my surprise and some moved on from my pages or from hubpages, all together. In each friendship silver or gold, I have been blessed with nuggets of wisdom, knowledge, inspiration, and encouragement. I am eternally grateful. It is no mistake all landed in the neighborhood for a reason and season. God knows what He does and He does the sending. There was no mistake I was led to amazing, talented individuals.

You truly are a gift from God. He works though many to touch hearts on these pages. There are many dear and precious brothers and sisters at the hubs and we share a common bond, Jesus Christ. Christians are not a real popular lot around the hubs but God is the sender and sends whom He might. We may be out numbered but we are not out powered. I am grateful to say that I wear the armor of God and the words do not hurt or harm me.(Ephesians 6:9) Many trample on the Word of God or compromise it and the author as well. Many have left my writings based on what I write. Truly, I do feel for those that are lost and trust in the world rather than Almighty God.

There are no hard feelings I can only hope a seed was planted and perhaps one day they will come back for a visit. If God said it then God wrote it. We have a road map in our laps on how to live. Prophecy is being fulfilled and quickly. I pray for those who are so stubborn and deceived. Our bodies go to dust, our Spirits Souls and Minds go to the other side. No, it is not a reincarnation thing. It is heaven or hell and eternity is forever and it is irreversible. (John 5:28) No one knows what tomorrow may bring so do not be too late for Jesus. The day for salvation is today.

Hooray for Hubpages

Why are you at the hubs?

What are your intentions at the hubs?

So now what? Well we do not know what tomorrow may bring. My intentions are to continue to serve God in boldness and truth. I am not ashamed of God. I owe Him my life. He paid a huge price for me. He died for all the sins of the world. How can one be ashamed of that. He is Almighty God.

I would love to tell you I have plans to be published. I do not. Maybe that will come someday. I do not know. With God all things are possible. He does give us the desires of our hearts. The church I go to did offer to send me to a writers conference a big thing out here next time they were around. I may take them up on it. One never knows. I only know I have a purpose. I am to tell other about the Gospel of Grace.

Our world is upside down and splitting open at the seams. The enemy is like a roaring lion ready to devour and destroy whatever is in his path. (1 Peter 5:8) There is no doubt the world is in an uproar. Jesus is going to return one day. No one wants to stand and face him and He denies you, because you denied Him. (John 14:6) Because He is grace do not think that you have plenty of time. Do we really? We do not know.

For now, I will be writing at the hubs. I will be loving all you darling hubbers and visiting your neighborhood very soon. I hope and pray that I can shine a light on your path. I pray that the grace of God cover you and yours each day. I thank-you for coming to my pages. You have been a light on my path. Truly, I thank God for each one of you. Without you hubpages we would not be here, so a very big thank you. Remember, you are loved by an awesome God. Say yes to Jesus!

Do not forget to vote in the poll.

My Love, Skye
